We evaluate your animal. The goal is to observe your animal's behavior, problem behaviors, and related activities. We look at body language, responses to activities, and other evaluative essentials. These are done with minimal risk. We make a determination of underlying causes.
We discuss the plan(s). We discuss the reasoning behind each step, expectations for improvement, errors that can occur. We demonstrate it, answer questions, and practice it with you. We will also provide a written summary of the behavior modification plan(s) to both you and your veterinarian.
Once you are comfortable following the plan, the consultation is complete. You are asked to practice the plan as explained. We are available for any and all questions that may come up. If part of the plan doesn't work, there is always a "Plan B."
